Zipp/Zipp Mini - How to update speaker firmware

From time to time, firmware is released to introduce new cool features.

Use Libratone App to perform the firmware update.

If an update is available, an exclamation mark will show up on on the circle around your product in SoundSpaces.

To update, simply tap your product and follow instructions.

Note

  • Always upgrade your Libratone App to the latest version before updating speaker firmware
  • Always connect your speaker to mains before starting the firmware update
  • An exclamation mark can also mean "Weak Wi-Fi signal strength"
  • A firmware update can also be signalled as "arrow up in a box" as shown here:

Speakers with firmware version 281

Speakers with firmware 281 must upgrade in 2 separate steps:

  1. step - Firmware version 281 will upgrade to firmware version 287
  2. step - Firmware version 287 will upgrade to firmware version 554 or later

Each step must be activated manually through Libratone App.

Why can't I just update from here?! I can't even find the libratone app on my old phone. I was hoping to power it up and connect it up via wifi and see if it could update. So I suppose I'll be forced to put the libratone app on my current phone only to take it off afterwards.
I don't want another app bloating up my phone that I don't use.

oh and my password manager logged me into here: libratone dot com just fine now after I managed to locate the app on my old phone and open it I was of course prompted for a password which is the same password I my password mgr logged me in here with however the app says the password is incorrect. Must one keep track of 2 password for their libratone products?
