Libratone Support

Classic Live - Music streaming services

Most of our customers have ditched locally stored music and are now using a streaming service. Some of these include:

  • Spotify
  • Apple Music
  • Deezer
  • SoundCloud
  • Pandora
  • iHeartRadio
  • Rdio
  • Tidal
  • Google Play Music
  • Napster
  • Rhapsody
  • TDC Play
  • YouSee Music

iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

To transfer music from a streaming service to your Zipp or Zipp Mini on an iOS device, simply start the music and select your Libratone speaker in the iOS Control Center. To access Control Center, swipe up from the bottom of the screen, then press the AirPlay icon to select your Libratone speaker.

Remember that the AirPlay icon will only appear if your Libratone speaker and your iOS device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry devices

If you are using a smartphone or tablet running anything other than iOS, use Bluetooth to transfer music from your streaming service to your Libratone speaker. Just pair your smartphone or tablet with the speaker in the Bluetooth menu and start playing.

You can read more about Bluetooth pairing here.

Windows PCs

To transfer music from a Windows PC to a Libratone speaker, use Bluetooth, AUX or a 3rd-party audio grabber like Airfoil. You can read more about Airfoil in the "PC" section here.

If your Mac is running OS X 10.8.3 or later, you can enable the transfer of all system audio to the speaker by following the simple steps:

  1. Go to System Preferences > Sound
  2. Select the "Output" tab in the top of the window
  3. Choose your Libratone speaker.

If you are using OS X 10.7 (or an earlier version), and you are unable to upgrade, follow the "Windows PCs" procedure described above and download Airfoil for Mac.

Tip: To quickly enable transfer of audio via AirPlay to your speaker, hold the option key (the one that says "alt") on your keyboard, while clicking the sound icon in the menu bar.
