Classic Zipp PD - AirPlay in daily use - comments and recommendations

Find answers to your questions on daily use and functionality of your new Libratone Zipp.

Using AirPlay you can stream your music from iTunes - both on Mac and PC - or you can use your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. This means that you have your entire music library in the palm of your hand. And if you have more than one Libratone product, with iTunes on a Mac or PC you can stream to them all simultaneously to fill your entire home with sound. You choose which unit you wish to activate and when.

When you have a version of iTunes that supports AirPlay and at least one AirPlay compatible device, you'll see the AirPlay icon (a rectangle with a triangle pushing into it from the bottom) appear in the bottom right-hand corner of the iTunes window. This allows you to select a device to stream audio to via AirPlay. As long as your computer and the device you want to connect to are on the same WiFi network, you'll see the names you've given the devices in the menu that appears when you click the AirPlay icon. Select the AirPlay device you want to play to and enjoy your music.

Sometimes AirPlay can lose the connection between your speaker and your device. To fix this you normally only need to either restart your iTunes/iPod player (close and restart the player, do not just minimize it) OR select and de-select your AirPlay speaker in the AirPlay menu on your device.

Please also note that WiFi connections may suffer from minor audio dropouts from time to time due to other devices in your home influencing your WiFi network traffic.
